How To Clean A Gshock
[G-shock] How do you G-shockers clean your watch?
I have a mudman and it's getting a little nasty. Whitish film (hard water stains?) on the inside of the band. I'm thinking vinegar and dish soap and a toothbrush?
Anyone have any good results?

I use a toothbrush and some dish soap or just plain water. After wearing g-shocks in the pool or ocean you get that white film from the water drying off and leaving a residue. A couple minutes with a toothbrush makes it look new again.

Contrary to watch common sense, I shower with it. It's a G-Shock. No need to be gentle.
If it can do this, then I can shower with it.
EDIT: You can see the indent of the shape of the watch case in the square aluminum tube it is strapped to.

Maybe salt from sweat? I've seen similar things after running long distances (and subsequently sweating a fair bit) on my Mudman.

I just rinse mine off in clean water immediately after taking it off. I use mine primarily for working out and/or doing some sort of manual labor, so I sweat all over it and get dirt, mud, etc on it so I've just gotten into the habit of running under the tap for a few seconds right after I take it off. The rinses away all the dirt and grime right away so my G-Shock doesn't have a chance to get nasty.

Easy-it's a G-Shock, so....I don't.

I use the following (my mom's tip) and it works great for my rubber G-Shock and for metal G-Shock 2836.
Cup of warm water and add a table spoon of baking soda. Just dip into this solution few times and clean with a toothbrush.
